The Beautiful Door- Will you step through?

Published by Denae Matherly on

Hello Beautiful Ladies,

This is my (Nancy’s) very first blog post ever! Thanks for letting me share a little bit of my heart with you. Not long ago God pulled me smack dab out of my comfort zone and set me right down in the middle of a great adventure called ImageTruth. ImageTruth is so compelling to me because Denae and I get the incredible privilege of speaking truth into the lives of girls and women. My deepest desire is that everyone we spend time with will walk away with a fresh or a renewed understanding that she is not only “fearfully and wonderfully  made” (Psalm 139:13-14 {our theme verse}) but that she is crafted intentionally and beautiful as His masterpiece. You are God’s very own definition of beauty right now and in this very moment.

The fashion tips and color analysis are incredibly fun! It is the proverbial icing on the cake! My hope and prayer is that when you leave one of our events, Pinterest boards, or blog posts that you will leave empowered with some ideas and inspiration that will make dressing fun. Ultimately though our desire is that it will free you to go out with confidence and joy to accomplish God’s calling on your life.

Denae and I have so much fun doing this. We are as different and night and day yet God has used our friendship in mighty ways. I am the Diana Barry to her Anne of Green Gables (if you are familiar with the books by Lucy Maud Montgomery)! We have a fantastic story of how God called us into ministry together which we will be a tale for another day and time.

The Beautiful Door

Dove recently launched an ad campaign entitled #ChooseBeautiful. Check out the video below. Women from different countries have to choose to enter a building through one of two doors. One door is labeled “Average” and the one day is labeled “Beautiful”. Ladies, nothing and nobody God has created is average. He majors in beautiful. That’s you! Claim it sister, chosen and dearly loved by God!

Blessings,

Nancy
